A very exciting discovery! (at least for myself)

10 years ago, I began researching my PALMER side of the family. I wrote a blog in those days, and in Jan 2013 I discovered the English censuses. At that time I used the public library to access them. Now I subscribe to Ancestry and other genealogy sites, like FindMyPast, which is the only site to have the 1921 English census. I had purchased the copy of the census which has my great great grandfather, George Palmer, listed as living in Stoke sub Ham, Somerset. I didn't notice until very recently that he was a fabric glove cutter for SOUTHCOMBE BROS LTD, which has been in business since 1847. Back in 2013, when I saw he was a glove cutter, I looked at an old map of the area, and wondered if he worked for Southcombe Gloves, as he lived very close to them. I emailed the company but they didn't have the records of that time, and really doubted he would have worked for them. Now I have the proof that he did! It only took 10 years to confirm.
